OpenBiblio Home Edition

OpenBiblio Home Edition is a slightly modified version of the open source library system OpenBiblio, tuned for keeping track of books in a home or small office. This mod adds support for book cover images and fields for alternate title text and storage location. The mod is based on version 0.6.1.

How to add book cover image:

First you have to add ISBN for each book. If the book doesn’t have ISBN then make something up. The field can have text as well as numbers.

Scan the book cover and save the file using the ISBN as the filename, for example 9789740658047.jpg. The image must be jpg. It can be any size but will be resized a fixed height of 300 pixels when shown in the book detail page. Put the image in /images inside your openbiblio directory.

Additionally, create a thumbnail version of the book cover and place it in /images/thumbnails. It can be any size but will be fixed to a height of 100 pixels when shown in the search results.
